MARBLE TERNATE/PHIL/SD 3
Marble 87.5% dwarf/super dwarf.
50% ternate
25% mindanao
12.5% kalaotoa
These marbles are part of a project i started 5 years ago.
The goal was to make the best looking marbles
First i had to figure out how the marble gene worked.
With all the variation we see in marbles theres a common mistake to think that variation is a function within the marble gene.
Its not.
After a few marble breedings adding different traits it was very obvious how controllable the marble gene is.
Nothing about it is random.
Theres only one way to make nice marbles and thats with selective breeding of the right traits. Out side of pure luck you cant make nice marbles, without selectively breeding.
Thats why most marbles stripe out.
Theres two traits that really determine what a marble will look like.
Back diamond shape and the spacing of the back diamonds.
Theres other traits iv added like black ticking, thicker black, connecting black, wide color range, head stamp traits for mindanao and ternates.
Theres a lot of other little things i used. But the main things are back diamond shape and back diamond spacing.
